After the holiday period, to reconnect in this beautiful space that calls us to continue discussing issues of the profession. Personally I fulfill what I promised in December last year, therefore, I will forward that this time we reflect on the environmental aspect of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Before would make an important clarification, since as I read various content related to the subject, I discovered a fundamental point that I forgot to clarify in the previous publication and should not be confused, when thinking in terms of CSR.

When we decided to apply to companies with a sustainable development model, we must not put ourselves unrealistic goals such as eradicating global poverty, ending the worldwide pollution or create a new system for the distribution of global wealth. Only by understanding this, we understand that sustainable development is focused on achieving: social integration, economic growth and environmental balance in the community in which the company is involved. This being the beginning, and once achieved the expected results, we can expand our horizons towards transforming actions to a higher level.

That said, I propose to address the growing and environmental aspect of CSR. Firstly it is important to realize that humans are primarily responsible for pollution and hence the environmental imbalance that affects us. While we could

blame the companies, each of us must take care of our part because we generate waste, even when we try to reduce our contribution to pollution.

If we think about it, we realize that the producers of goods and services exist because we demand what they have to offer. At first glance appears to be a little virtuous circle, which can not escape.

I invite you to think together what would happen if the companies that generate waste that we can not recycle, will also balance the imbalance generated. If we are realists understand that no company can store, for recycling, all the products onto the market. What they can do is measure the degree of pollution from them and adopt clear policies that balance their actions.

A great way to analyze the impacts that a company in the environment, is to identify all processes it takes place and the different areas that make up each of those processes. Once done, they should start thinking about how to generate damage and how they can stop, reduce or offset them.

The tables then plotted this in a simple to read. They have been taken from sources cited below them and I, in turn, draw from a class of CSR issued in 2009 by Professor Mary rigorous, professor at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. "
